Dear Valued Customers and Vendors, 

It is with great pleasure that we announce the acquisition of Plastic Solutions Inc. (PSI) in Louisville Kentucky.    This acquisition allows Laird to expand its national footprint and for our new customers to reach a larger network  of inventory and sales experience across 52 business units with one phone call or e‐mail. 

PSI is a professional and well run company that carries the same core values as Laird Plastics:  1) Honesty and  Integrity, 2) Hard Work and Continuous Self‐Improvement, and 3) Empowerment at All Levels.  We are excited to  have them join the Laird family effective February 2, 2009.   

As many of you are perhaps wondering, the company name will be listed and referred to internally and externally  as “Laird Plastics/PSI” until further notice.   

The prior owner, Deonna Dean, will continue to have complete responsibility for running all aspects of the  business (Business Unit Manager).  She comes to Laird with more than a decade of organizational management  and plastics distribution experience.  We are confident that her skill sets will help create instant success in our  culture.  We are also pleased to announce the “Laird Plastics/PSI” team: 

• Mike Norrod (Assistant Manager) -- former employee of Laird Dayton.  Mike has held numerous  responsibilities (primarily sales & marketing) and successfully tackled many challenging projects in his 6  year tenure under Mike Ubelhart’s (current Dayton Business Unit Manager) supervision.  He will report to  Deonna focusing on sales growth.
• Ralph Schreck (Operations/Sales) -- one of the original founders of PSI.  He carries more than 10 years of  prior plastics distribution and fabrication management experience.
• Frank Schmidt (Lead Production) -- more than ten years of experience in various operational roles. 
• Tina Schmidt (Administrative) -- more than five years of experience in office duties and local delivery of  products.
• Robert Carroll (Warehouse/Fabrication) -- more than five years of experience in warehouse production. 
• Steven Wood (Fabrication) -- more than five years of fabrication experience.
